I have applied for a Citi Credit Card, how do I check the status?
Once you submit the credit card application form successfully, an auto triggered email will be sent to you on the email address specified in the form. The email will contain a link that will let you check your application status.
How to fill the Citi Credit Card application form?
Filling up the Citi Credit Card application form is a straightforward process and will not take more than 10 minutes of your time. Hereās how to do it:-
- Enter the basic details such as contact information, NRIC/Passport Number and monthly income.
- Upload a copy of Copy (front & back) of your NRIC and CPF statement for 12 months if you are a Singaporean or hold a PR. In case you are a foreign national, you need to upload a photocopy of your - valid passport, Employment Pass, resident proof such as utility bill or telephone bill, the latest Income Tax Notice of Assessment and the latest original computerized pay slip.

What is a credit score?
A credit score is a numerical number which the lenders use to measure your creditworthiness and ability to pay back the debts. It is an independent assessment which is based on your credit history. A credit score is measured on the scale of 1000 to 2000, where a score of 2000 means you are least likely to default on your debt. A credit score is an important factor which is considered when you apply for a loan and therefore you should maintain a good credit score at all times.
What is a credit limit?
A credit limit is the maximum amount of the credit facility that the lender allows you to use. The lender sets your credit score based on your income level, credit history and current debts. However you can ask your lender to increase the limit as per your usage. Maxing out your credit limit adversely affects your credit score.
What is an Overlimit amount?
An Overlimit amount is the balance amount in excess to your combined credit limit. It is an amount in addition to the minimum payment that you make after every billing cycle. This over limit amount is mentioned in your statement of account and should be paid immediately. Additionally, you might have to pay an Over limit fee whenever you exceed your credit limit.
How to pay my credit card bill?
Citibank offers you plenty of options to pay your credit card bills as per your convenience. You can pay your credit card bill using any of the following methods:-
- 1. Pay with the Citi MobileĀ® App.
- 2. Pay with Citibank Online.
- 3. Pay with Self-service Phone Banking.
- 4. Use FAST (Fast and Secure Transfers) to pay your Citibank Credit Card / Ready Credit. bills from your non-Citibank account almost instantly.
- 5. Pay your Citibank Credit Card / Ready Credit bills with a simple SMS using your non-Citibank account.
- 6. Pay using AXS station or AXS phone application.
- 7. Pay through SAM stations.

How to check if my credit card payment was successful?
Whenever you make a successful payment through your credit card, you will receive Citi Alerts in the form of SMS or Email notifications on your registered mobile number and email address. Additionally, you can also track your payments anytime and anywhere using the Citi MobileĀ® App.
How do I set up a recurring payment for my Citi Credit Card?
If you have a bank account with Citi, you can set up recurring payment easily using your Citibank Online Bank Account. Once you sign in, click on 'Payments & Transfers' and select 'Manage Payment & Transactions', followed by 'Credit Card Recurring Payment'.
How to increase my credit limit?
You can maximize your credit limit by simply filling up the Credit Limit Increase Form and updating your latest income details in the same. If your income records reflect an increment, you can start enjoying a higher credit limit on your Citibank Credit Card or Citibank Ready Credit account.
How to change my credit card PIN?
With Citibank, requesting a Credit Card PIN Change is a simple quick process. Here is how to do it:-
- Call our 24-hour CitiPhone self-service banking at (65) 6225 5225.
- Enter your NRIC or 16 Digit ATM or credit card number and press ā#ā.
- Press ā3ā for PIN change.
- Key in your T-PIN.
- Press ā2ā for PIN change.
- Press ā3ā for credit card PIN change.
- Key in your new credit card PIN.
You can now access your credit card account with the new PIN. For safety reasons, we recommend that you change your credit card PIM on a regular basis.
How to access my credit card statement?
You can access your credit card e-statement via Citibank Online and Citi Mobile App. Hereās how to do it:-
Citibank Online:-
- Sign in to your Citibank Online account using your username and password.
- Select <Download recent statements> from the "Quick Tasks" section on the right panel
- Select the statement, year and month.
- Click <Proceed> on the confirmation page to download or view the statement.
Citi Mobile App:-
- Login to Citi Mobile App and tap on āStatement balanceā
- Select āPDFā on the top of the screen
- View you credit card eStatement
However, in order to access your credit card statement online, you need to enroll for our E-Statements service. Send an SMS 'Citiestmt' to 72484 (7CITI) for E-Statements or login to Citibank Online and enroll for E-Statement and E-Advices.
Can the Credit Card Annual Fees be waived?
Majority of the Citi Credit Cards offer annual fee waiver for the first year of usage. However, the waiver is only applicable for new credit card applications.
How to activate my Citi credit card?
You may choose any of the following methods to activate your card as per your convenience:-
a) Citi MobileĀ®
- 1. Launch 'Citibank SG' mobile application on your mobile
- 2. Sign on with your User ID and Password
- 3. Tap on āProfile and Settingsā icon on the top left
- 4. Under āCredit card settingsā, tap on the credit card you want to activate, and tap āActivateā
- 5. Please enter the Unlock Code One-Time PIN (OTP) or the OTP sent via SMS
- b) Citibank Online
- 1. Sign on with your User ID and Password
- 2. Under 'Services' > 'My Profile', click on 'Card Activation' link and follow the steps on-screen
- 3. Please enter the One-Time PIN (OTP) generated using your Citi Mobile Token or your Online Security Device (OSD) or request for an OTP via SMS
- 4. Click 'Continue' to proceed
How to Activate Overseas usage for Citi Credit Card?
You can activate the overseas usage for your Citi Credit Card in four different ways, anytime and anywhere. You may choose from any of the following methods as per your convenience.
a) SMS For Permanent Use Overseas
- 1. Please send the SMS from the mobile phone number registered in our records.
- 2. SMS ACT<space>OS<space><Last four digits of your card number> to 72484.
- 3. If you are overseas, please SMS to +65 9657 2484 instead.
For Temporary Use Overseas
- 4. SMS ACT<space>OS<space><Last four digits of your card number><space><Number of days> to 72484.
- 5. If you are overseas, please SMS to +65 9657 2484 instead.
- 6. Overseas activation will begin from the day that the SMS is sent.
b) Self-service Phone Banking
- 1. Call our 24 hour hotline at +65 6225 5225.
- 2. Enter your NRIC, 16 (MASTERCARDĀ® & VISA) or 15 (AMEX card member) digit card number or 10 digit customer number.
- 3. Select option 2 from the Main Menu.
- 4. Select option 4 for overseas usage activation or deactivation.
- 5. Follow the interactive voice response instructions and enter the details requested.
- 6. Choose to activate permanently or for a time-bound period, or simply deactivate your overseas function.
Please note that you need to have a Telephone PIN (TPIN) or OTP ready to activate or deactivate your card overseas usage.
c) Citibank Online
- 7. Sign in with your Citi User ID and Password.
- 8. Under 'Services' > 'My Profile', click on 'Overseas Card Activation' link and follow the steps on-screen.
- 9. Please enter the One-Time PIN (OTP) generated using your Citi Mobile Token or your Online Security Device (OSD) or request for an OTP via SMS. Click 'Continue' to proceed.
d) Citi MobileĀ® App
- 1. Launch 'Citibank SG' mobile application on your mobile.
- 2. Sign in with your Citi User ID and Password.
- 3. Open the side menu and go to 'Card Activation'.
- 4. Enter the One-Time PIN (OTP) generated using your Citi Mobile or your Online Security Device (OSD). Alternatively, you may also request for a One-Time PIN (OTP) via SMS.
- 5. Click 'Continue' to proceed.
- 6. Click on 'Overseas Use' and select the card that you would like to activate for overseas usage.
What is the eligibility criteria for a credit card?
You need to be at least 21 years old or above to apply for a Citi Credit Card. However, the minimum annual income criteria depends on the type of credit card and your residential status. The annual income requirement for foreign nationals is higher as compared to Singapore Citizens. You can check the eligibility criteria for your preferred credit card at the respective credit card page.
What are the documents required for credit card application?
You will require the following documents to apply for a Citi Credit Card :-
If you are a Salaried Employee
- A copy of your NRIC/passport.
- Latest original computerized pay slip.
Or - Tax Notice of Assessment or last 12 months CPF statement.
If you are Self Employed
- A copy of your NRIC/passport.
- Last 2 years' Income Tax Notice of Assessment.
- Last 3 months' bank statements.
If you are a Foreign National
- A copy of your passport and work permit (with minimum 6 months validity).
- A copy of utility/telephone bill or bank statement with your name and address.
- Income Tax Notice of Assessment and latest original computerized pay slip.

Will my credit card points expire?
If you are Citi Classic or Citi Clear card member, your reward points will be valid for a year. If you are a Gold, Platinum, World Mastercard or a Citi Rewards Visa Signature card member, your reward points will be valid for a period of 5 years. On the other hand, if you are an Ultima card member, your reward points will never expire.
How to check my reward points?

What is the difference between reward points and Citi dollars?
Thereās no difference between Citi Dollars and reward points. The Citi Dollars earned through a credit card account is referred to as reward points.

Can I pay for flights with my miles?
Yes, you may use your accumulated Citi Miles and transfer them to your frequent flyer program of choice to redeem your preferred flights. You may also use your Citi Miles to redeem flights and hotels on Citiās global travel portal.

What should I do if my card is lost or damaged?
In case your card is lost or damaged, you can request for a replacement card using the Citi Mobile App or Citi Bank Online. The fastest way to report a lost card and request for a replacement is via Citi Mobile App:
- Just download the App & login with your CitiBank Online username and password.
- Go to āMenuā -> āManage Your Cardsā -> āBlock Lost or Stolen Cardsā and then follow the steps to block your card and request a new card.
Once you have completed the above, your lost/stolen card will be permanently blocked. Your replacement Citi Debit/Credit Card and corresponding PIN will be sent to the address you have registered with us.
Please note that you will not be able to report a lost/damaged card using the Citi Mobile App if you donāt have a Citibank Online Account. In that case, you can call the 24/7 CitiPhone banking number +65 6225 5225 and report the lost card and request a replacement.
How do I block my credit card?
In case your credit card is lost or stolen you can block/deactivate it immediately using the Citi Mobile App or by sending an SMS. Hereās how to do it :-
Via Citi Mobile App
Go to āMenuā -> āManage Your Cardsā -> āBlock Lost or Stolen Cardsā and then follow the steps to block your card and request for a new card. Once you have completed the above, your lost/stolen card will be permanently blocked.
Via SMS
SMS DEACT<space><Last four digits of your card number> to 72484. If you are overseas, please SMS to +65 9657 2484 instead. Once you send the SMS your credit card will be blocked immediately.
Will there be fees to replace /reissue a card?
Yes, you will need to pay a card replacement fee of S$10 when you request a renewal or reissue of your Citi Credit Card.
