My family and I were fortunate enough to travel to Chile in December 2022, our official return to tourism. Normally, we like to plan our own trips, but we didn't have the time. Fortunately, one call to Tamatha was enough for her to understand exactly what kinds of adventures we wanted and how we like to travel. We tweaked the itinerary once and were good to go. We got to experience three different landscapes and engage in activities as diverse as a cooking class in someone's apartment in colorful Valparaiso (following a visit to the local market), visiting the penguins on Chiloe, rafting down two different rivers, hiking on a volcano, swimming in view of glaciers, and visiting the iconic Patagonia National Park. We could not have put this together without Tamatha's knowledge and help. She was a delight to work with. This is our second hugely successful trip with Audley, and we look forward to partnering with them again.

I have never worked through a travel company before and now that I’ve worked with Audley, I am not sure if I will ever NOT work with one again. I contacted multiple travel companies but Audley, working with Argentina specialist Tamatha, was the only one who was able to put together the exact itinerary I requested and in the time frame I needed. Molly, our Italy specialist, was just lovely to deal with, so enthusiastic and always quick to respond. She really listened to our requests and got the picture about what we wanted to do, suggesting hotels and activities that worked so well. The experiences, like our cookery lesson, gave us a real insight into Amalfi culture. Your colleagues in Italy were superb and everything went exceptionally smoothly. Everyone was very professional, and we were well looked after — can’t fault it.

My original trip was planned for June. Cara, my Italy specialist, rearranged my travels for late September — and I’m so glad [she] did. It was great to be traveling again and everything went very smoothly. I have to say that finding my own way to a bus stop or train station has lost its appeal. So, simply waking up, getting ready and having breakfast before being greeted by my guide each day was wonderful. Everything ran like clockwork and the guides were excellent — I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Tamatha, Senior Travel Specialist with Audley Travel, did a superb job designing our 20 day journey to Japan. She helped us develop an itinerary that met our goals and included: comfortable accommodations, superb local guides, and suggestions of local highlights and restaurants to visit on our own. Tamatha also provided us with carefully thought-out arrangements for connecting travel between cities, taking into account the fact that all three of us are in our eighties. We couldn’t have had such a wonderful journey without her expert guidance.

From the moment I spoke to Samantha Rubin at Audley Travel, I felt I was in good hands. Little did I know, in about ten minutes of sharing ideas, our bucket list trip was coming to life. She was so excited to share her thoughts and ideas because she had experienced most of these adventures herself. We wanted to experience the real Italy: high speed trains, hydrofoil ferry to Capri and excellent hotels in city centers so we could walk by ourselves during free time and feel safe. All of our expectations were met on this trip, Samantha never let one detail go lacking. I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed every minute, Not one hiccup. It was perfect.

My trip to France, planned by country specialist Samantha, was truly spectacular. Samantha noted and implemented my core desire to see Monet’s Gardens and Normandy beaches, she also made sure that my hotel was perfectly located based on my preferences. I was enthralled and thrilled by so much of what I experienced from the D-Day beaches to Versailles. The guides were superb and took the extra time to answer my endless questions. Thanks to Audley Travel and especially Samantha, a true caring and expert professional.

My partner has a special affinity for Japan but had never visited so we decided to explore some off the beaten path ideas for her birthday. I had worked with Audley before, and was impressed by their service, so decided to seek their help in designing our Japan trip. Our adventures would include catching our own Uni, hunting for heteromorphic ammonites in Hokkaido, and experiencing an authentic tea ceremony. Our country specialist Tamatha was superb, especially since she had visited many of the areas we wished to see and experience. Our experience couldn't have been better.

We truly enjoyed our honeymoon to Italy with Audley Travel, it was a dream. Our travel specialist Emily intently listened to our Scotland and Ireland wish list and expertly devised an itinerary that exceeded our expectations. All of the accommodations were first-class and the excursions allowed us to maximize our experiences across these two beautiful lands. The highlights for us were the breathtaking drive around the perimeter of the Isle of Skye in Scotland and exploring Inis Mor in Ireland via horse and cart. Thanks to Audley and Emily for helping us realize our dream vacation to the lands of our ancestors!

My coworker and I decided to go on a trip to Bali this year but we didn't want the hassle of doing all the planning. We ended up calling Audley and working with Indonesia country specialist Alix who asked us who we were as travelers, what we like to do on vacation, and what our budget was. She was very detailed and we appreciated that her findings always matched our interests. Once in Bali, everything was seamlessly organized. We both have agreed that this trip to Bali is the best one yet of all our travels, thanks to Alix and the Audley team.

We loved our Audley trip to Thailand. It was both stress free and full of adventure, plus we felt very safe and well taken care of. We loved all of the hotels that our country specialist Alix selected. We especially enjoyed the bike adventure in Bangkok, the elephant sanctuary, the waterfall hike, visiting the coffee and tea plantations, and getting the chance to celebrate Songkran. We would definitely travel with Audley again, it was worth every penny!

We worked with Audley Travel and Harry for our trip to Ecuador. Harry listened to our interests and made suggestions as to what we might like to do. Harry's recommendation of The Yolita for our seven night Galapagos cruise couldn't have been better. It was active with hikes and snorkeling every day and we had an excellent time. Harry then sent us to Napo Wildlife Center in the Amazon which was, perhaps, his best recommendation. We were extremely lucky to site a jaguar which is a rarity. Elyssa, our country specialist, first discussed our trip wishes with us and then tailor-made a dream trip to Thailand and Cambodia. We saw temples and hiked the mountains, met the elephants and spent a morning cooking with a Thai family. At Angkor Wat our guide was able to take us away from the crowds, making the experience truly unique. Elyssa kept in touch with us throughout our travels and shared her expertise along the way — we were extremely pleased with the service she provided. We already have our next vacation booked with Audley.

From our first interaction with Matt inquiring about doing this trip, to the wheels of the plane touching down at O’Hare after almost three weeks abroad, our experience has been incredible. We have traveled quite a bit and have worked with a number of different travel companies over the years, and as a result I feel confident in sharing our highest praise of Matt and the Audley team. Returning to Italy to revisit our favorite places was on the top of our bucket list. This time, however, we wanted to plan a journey that would be tailor-made just for us. That is why we contacted Audley Travel. After one phone conversation with Joe, we knew we had found the perfect specialist. Joe is professional, knowledge, kind and compassionate. He planned the perfect trip and we were so excited about it.

Our country specialist Joe was very responsive to our needs, interest and requests for what we were looking for in a trip. Having never been overseas before, the services provided by Audley Travel were essential to us having such a successful trip. Such a special trip, from the breathtaking views of Positano, to the ancient ruins of Pompeii, to the wine of Campania. Taylor crafted an itinerary that touched on all of the beautiful local sites of Southern Italy. The hotels were amazing, the professional private drivers and tour guides made getting around on the narrow roads of the Amalfi Coast a breeze. The private Italian cooking lesson at Casa Laura was a highlight, we felt we have made a Friend for life. It was all so seamlessly planned by Taylor, we thank you and Audley for making this trip one that we will always cherish.

Audley is knowledgeable and experienced in the region and country we wanted to visit. Plus, they were extremely personable. The agent assigned to come up with our itinerary was not only an Italian expert, but very approachable, engaging and personable. She even surprised us with a note, snacks and bottle of wine when we checked in to one of the hotels.
